The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Goldwin has just released its winter collection, bringing a variety of minimalist pieces which deliver a high level of functionality alongside their pared-back design.

Following on from the autumn collection, the new winter series – which is available to check out via the Goldwin website today – consists of a number of key pieces that aim to keep the cold at bay.

Highlights include a full Gore-Tex down jacket which gets a two-layer design with a water-resistant front zipper to help keep water out. It’s insulated with 900-fill-power grey goose down for a high level of warmth, too, while a ‘Box Baffle’ structure at the rear helps with heat retention.

There is also a cool-looking three-way windstopper coat. Made from ‘highly windproof’ and moisture permeable Gore-Tex with a Pertex Quantum liner, the coat isn’t just water-repellent but also gets a partial seam sealing which ‘can withstand light rain or snow’, according to Goldwin. The loose design means it could provide an ideal layering option, too.

The classically designed wool blend twill one-tuck pants are a new addition, too, bringing a material which blends wool with polyester to give it a reassuringly old-school look but with a more modern feel and functionality. It gets an elastic waistband and handy belt loops as well.

For those after a more active option, there’s the Light Warmer Jacket. Available in either ‘deep cypress’ or black colourways, it’s a training-focused jacket which gets an outer layer crafted in lightweight but strong Partex Quantum Air, while the inner is made from Octa, a ‘green’ material that aims to deliver plenty of warmth but with a good level of breathability as well.

The new collection includes a wide number of new pieces and, as mentioned, they are all available on the Goldwin website now.
