Vans has released its upmarket Premium Old Skool 36 Souvenir in Europe.
Based on the standard Old Skool, the 36 Souvenir gets a range of upgrades to deliver a more premium-feeling shoe.

It’s why the Warm Brown shoes have leather overlays and an eye-catching Sidestripe motif finished in tweed. That same contrast material is used at the tops of the tongues, too.
There are removable Vans-themed pins, too, giving the shoes greater scope for customisation.
Underneath, you’ve got Sola Foam ADC insoles for extra cushioning and improved comfort, while a 30 per cent bio-based construction helps to make them a little greener. On the outside, there’s a vulcanised build which has become synonymous with Vans footwear, and the same goes for the signature waffle outsole.

A higher sidewall helps to give the shoes a more distinctive look and battery protection, while the pre-worn look of the Sovenir should help them to look less box-fresh than your usual trainers. Even the laces have been given a kicked-in aesthetic.
Priced at £125, the Souvenir do represent a premium over your standard Old Skool shoe. For the time being, it seems that they’ve proven popular as they’re currently out of stock on the Vans website, though check your nearest retailer as they may have limited quantities, too.
