The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Canyon has taken a lightweight new approach with its latest e-bike, the Neuron:ONfly.

Designed for first time e-MTB riders or more seasoned pedallers looking for a ‘more natural’ riding experience, the Neuron:ONfly is cented around a carbon chassis which incorporates Bosch’s new Performance Line SX system which brings 55Nm of torque and 600W of power.

However, unlike other e-MTBs, the Neuron:ONfly aims to deliver this electrified experience with lower weight, which is why it comes in at 19kg, compared with 23kg for Canyon’s popular Neuron:ON. As a result, Canyon says that the Neuron:ONfly feels a lot more like a ‘normal’ mountain bike to ride.

You’ll find the 400Wh PowerTube battery located in the downtube, while a PowerMore booster can be added to bring an extra 250Wh of energy capacity that clips onto the downtube.

As with other e-bikes, the Neuron:ONfly incorporates a variety of rider modes to toggle through, with Eco helping to stretch every last mile out of the battery, while EMTB provides peak power from the motor at higher cadences. You can link it all to the Bosch Flow app which allows the rider to tune the motor setup to their individual riding style.

A variety of finishing touches – such as an impact protection unit in the headtube and a full-length chainstay cover with integrated chain guide – should help the Neuron:ONfly look its best even after the toughest of trail rides.

The Neuron:ONfly – which starts at £4,649 and goes up to £7,649 in top-tier LTD setup – incorporates 29-inch wheels and 140mm of front and rear travel, while its entire geometry has been geared towards reliable, intuitive handling.

The new Canyon Neuron:ONfly is now available via the Canyon website.
