Peak Performance has collaborated with Berlin-based artist Ruohan Wang for a colourful and limited-edition capsule collection.
Called ‘The Wind Catcher’, the collection brings together the Scandinavian brand’s typically lightweight and technical approach with Wang’s signature bold, graphic-led design ethos.

It’s been applied to several Peak Performance’s trademark products, too, including a wind jacket, 2-in-1 shorts and a variety of midlayers and accessories. You’ll find Wang’s signature ‘walking-legs’ icon – which draws inspiration from the Chinese character for ‘man/people’ across all of them, bringing a common thread through each piece.
Wang said: “One day, while walking on the outskirts of North China, I saw someone practicing Tai Chi in the forest, wearing an outdoor shell jacket. This harmony of stillness in motion, and the balance between human will and nature’s power, became a key inspiration for blending dynamic and still elements in the designs.”

Primarily designed for warm-weather conditions, the products within the collection have a more lightweight focus than some of Peak Performance’s other winter-based items. We’re big fans of the custom wind jacket – priced at £130 – which gets two large prints on the front and the back, but also has technical features such as multiple ventilation points and articulated sleeves for easier movement.
The 2-in-1 shorts, meanwhile, are priced at £75 and incorporate an inner short with two thigh pockets, and a light 42gsm fabric that offers light protection from the rain.
You’ll be able to find the new Peak Performance x Ruohan Wang capsule collection in selected stores – including London – as well as online via the Peak Performance website. It launches today (May 28).
