Big Agnes is blowing out the candles on its 25th anniversary with a special-edition collection.

Called the ‘Est. 2001 Collection’ – referencing the year that the Colorado-based outfit was launched – the limited edition range celebrates that brand’s origins in the Zirkel Wilderness. It’s been where Big Agnes has tested its products since its inception and plays a core role in shaping its full range. 

The new collection uses a special anniversary print inspired by alpenglow – a natural phenomenon where a reddish glow appears just before sundown – in the aforementioned Zirkel Wilderness. You’ll find it applied to some of Big Agnes’ core products, from the Rapide SL insulated sleeping pad to the Big Six Camp Chair. 

As well as the brand’s Why Not Picnic Blanket and Anthracite Sleeping Bags, the unique print is also available on a variety of t-shirts and hoodies. 

Big Agnes co-founder and president Bill Gamber said that the brand was founded on the idea of a ‘simple sleeping pad idea to help people sleep more comfortably in the backcountry’. 

“Since then, our goal has stayed the same: listen to the people using the gear and keep building products that make their time outside better. Twenty-five years and we’re just getting started.”
