The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Peak Performance has kicked off its Autumn/Winter programme with a new lightweight shell jacket – the Treeline.

Bourne through the brand’s Swedish wet-weather home location, the Treeline series has been designed to allow walkers and adventurers to keep going no matter the conditions. It’s also a series which is being offered in two specifications – Hope 2.5L and Gore-Tex 3L.

There’s a range of colourways to choose from

Kicking off with the Treeline Gore-Tex 3L, you’re getting – as the name suggests – a Gore-Tex ePE membrane which offers a high level of waterproofing but with added breathability. Priced at £350, it comes with zippered hand pockets and a zippered inner pocket, alongside a full front AquaGuard zipper. For a more tapered fit, an adjustable drawcord is at the bottom hem to cinch things in, while the sleeve hems are also adjustable and get a secure Velcro fit.

All in, the Gore-Tex 3L weighs just 0.48kg, so it’ll be an easy model to pack up when not in use. It’s also available in three colours – Black, Mountain Mist and Terrain Tan.

Both HIPE and Gore-Tex technologies provide a good level of water protection

The Treeline Hipe 2.5L, meanwhile, comes in at £220 but still gets a high specification. Offered in a lightweight and relaxed fit, it uses HIPE 2.5-layer waterproof and windproof construction with a high level of breathability. Up front, there are large hidden hand pockets and a one-hand hood adjustment.

You’ve also got adjustment at the hem and cuffs for a more secure fit, and it’s available in one of five nature-inspired colours with the brown ‘Meadow Moss’ being a GS favourite.

“That relationship with the outdoors starts early,” says Sofia Gromark, VP Design & Creative at Peak Performance. “You grow up going outside with your family in all kinds of weather, so performance and comfort aren’t optional – they’re expected.”

Both jackets are available via the Peak Performance website now.
