Peak Performance has introduced a new high-performance shell jacket which has been designed to offer maximum protection from the elements.
The new Ridge Hipe Ace 3L Shell Jacket arrives as the first Peak Performance product to get the brand’s latest Hipe Ace membrane, bringing with it an impressive 20,000mm waterproof rating. The new material uses hydrophobic microporous membrane technology to keep things water- and windproof, yet breathable. Each seam is fully sealed to help maintain that barrier to the elements, too.

Peak Performance says that the Ridge Hipe Ace 3L Shell Jacket can withstand ‘even prolonged torrential rain’ thanks to this new technology. It’s incorporated into a triple-layer ripstop fabric design, too, while up at the front there’s a two-way YKK AquaGuard zipper. You’ll also find velcro adjusters on the sleeves and a drawstring at the hem to help adjust the fit of the jacket quickly and easily.
Two zipped hand pockets provide added protection and storage, while an extra inner mesh pocket should be ideal for keeping valuables safe. Up top, you’ve got an adjustable hood which is large enough to accommodate climbing and bike helmets, according to Peak Performance.

Designed with a ‘roomy shape’, the Ridge is being pitched as an outer layer, or one which can be incorporated into your outfit to help keep things underneath as dry as possible.
Priced at £350 and available for both men and women, the new Ridge Hipe Ace 3L jacket is available both in Peak Performance’s London store and via the brand’s website.
