Big Agnes is commemorating its 25th birthday with a new VST tent range.
Riffing on the basic formula for velocity – V=S/T – the new range takes on the usually lightweight Big Agnes approach while including a variety of features to help keep users shielded from the elements.

The VST range gets a hybrid single/double-wall construction and is crafted from the brand’s clever 20D HyperBead fabric which brings an impressive 4,000mm waterproof rating without the need for harmful PFAS.
To help bring a little space for those who need it, certain models within the VST range are available with .5 sizing to bring a little extra room inside, whether that’s for people or equipment.
There’s the new String Ridge VST – available in 1.5 and 2.5-person configurations – which weigh in at 663 and 853g, respectively. Available to order now, it’s priced at £480 for the 1.5-person and £580 for the 2.5-person.

Then there’s the Pitchpine VTS, which has space for 1.5 persons. A non-freestanding single-pole shelter, it’s been designed for rapid setup when you need cover in a pinch. At 719g, this lightweight tent is priced at £600.
Finally, you have the Sarvis VST, which is available in two and three-person setups. Like others here it has a freestanding design with full poles, while dual doors help with access. Big Agnes says that the Sarvis has the ‘most cavernous interior’ of any tent within the VST range, so it’ll be great for those who need the best-possible space. It weighs in at 1.06kg in two-person form and 1.27kg in three-person layout, while priced at £700 and £800 respectively.
The new VST range is available via the Ultralight Outdoor Gear website today.
