The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Yeti is expanding its range of backpacks with a new adventure-focused series – Skala.

The new pack brings a more hiking-focused design than other backpacks within Yeti’s line-up and is equipped with plenty of features designed to help you walk further and for longer.

Yeti Skala
The Skala features a similar opening to the Ranchero

Available in navy and Rideline colourways, the Skala has been ‘engineered to be some of the best load-bearing packs in the game’, bringing touches such as dual compression straps to help attach gear such as poles or tripods, and dual stretch water bottle pockets so you’re always hydrated. That said, the Skala also comes with a hydration reservoir sleeve with hose port and an elastic keeper.

You might notice that the Skala gets the same handy zippered opening as the Ranchero, too, providing quick access to the primary pocket.

There’s a front stash pocket for loose tems and even handy gear loops for ice poles. The attached waist belt adds additional reinforcement and support, while also bringing extra pockets for storage. There’s even a zippered lid pocket so you’ve always got quick access to your snacks or other supplies.

There are two colourways to choose from

The Skala is available in 32, 40 and 50-litre capacities, offering something for all types of adventures. Plus, you can get them in dedicated men’s and women’s fits, as well as two adjustable sizes – S/M and L/XL – to ensure a perfect fit each time.

In typical Yeti fashion, the Skala packs do get a rather chunky price tag at £275 for the 32-litre, £300 for the 40-litre and £350 for the 50-litre. However, we’re hoping to put one through its paces soon to see if it can live up to the price.
