Veja and Finisterre have collaborated on a new go-anywhere hiking shoe. 

The Fitz Roy Veja x Finisterre is a lightweight shoe designed for all types of adventures, but is one which is underpinned by some key technological features to ensure that it’s able to cope with the worst of conditions.

It’s why you’ll find chunky multidirectional lugs and a rock plate for better stability, while an upper crafted from hardwearing Trek-Shell should help it endure in the very hardest conditions. It’s made from 100 per cent recycled polyester, too, so it ties in with the eco-focus that we’d usually expect from Cornwall-based Finisterre. 

The whole shoe has been given a PFC-free water-repellent treatment, too, as a way of fending off wet weather without damaging the environment. Plus, you’ve got rubber soles, organic cotton laces and recycled materials throughout to ensure that this shoe makes as little impact on the world around it as possible. That rubber is Amazonian wild rubber, too, which is used in many of Veja’s shoes. 

There’s just one colourway available – a mix of Basalte and Almond shades – but this should help it to tie in with nearly all outfits. It shares a similar design to Veja’s standard Fitz Roy shoe overall, as you’d expect.
