Peak Performance has partnered with professional skier Max Palm to create a limited-edition range of clothing that blends skiwear with casual streetwear. 

Swede Max Palm – who grew up in the French Alps – majors in ‘big mountain’ skiing, which sees him – and other skiers – tackling huge drop-offs and cliff edges that would’ve previously been discounted as too extreme for the sport. 

Now, however, Max has teamed up with Scandinavian mountain brand Peak Performance to blend together the worlds of competitive skiing and more casual streetwear into the new collection of jackets, trousers and other essentials. 

Acting as the flagship for the range is the Max Gore-Tex 3L ski shell jacket. Priced at £480, the jacket aims to deliver top-notch waterproofing alongside breathability that should make it a great fit for a day on the slopes. 

You’ve also got the Max Hipe 2L insulated shell trousers, which use Peak Performance’s two-layer Hipe fabric to deliver useful levels of stretch, as well as plenty of protection against water and wind. Like others in the collection, the trousers get Max’s eye-catching graphics as well as a skipass pocket and reinforced lower leg sections. It’s priced at £390.

Switching to apres ski, there’s a boxy-fit coach jacket, a heavyweight graphic hoodie and a double-layer long-sleeve t-shirt, priced at £220, £140 and £105 respectively. 

Available online at the Peak Performance website and via the brand’s stores from November 8, the launch will coincide with an event that will see Max and UK grassroots skiers head to a snow jam in London Bridge. 

Taking place at the White Grounds skate park on November 8, the event – billed as ‘Max Palm and Friends Rail Jam’ – will be an all-day sesh hosted by action sports commentator Scott Penman. From 2:30pm, the park will transform into a full ski rail session, complete with a winch to help skiers achieve the proper speed.
