Berghaus introduced a new women’s leggings and trouser range designed to tackle discomfort no matter the situation.
A survey of 4,239 adults women commissioned by the brand found that four in five women believe their clothing doesn’t move the way that they do, while seven in ten felt too restricted in leggings when their bodies fluctuated in size. Women also say that they feel self-conscious when bloated 2.5 times more than men.

It’s why Berghaus has integrated its ZonalAdapt technology into Farren leggings and Farren trousers, which are both available on the firm’s website now priced at £100 for the former and £135 for the latter.
Both items get a responsive waistband that can help to reduce pressure during bloating, alongside specialist compression zones which keep the leggings or trousers in place without making them too restrictive. There’s also a lumbar support panel which adds support to the lower spinal area while keeping the leggings in place.

Berghaus also partnered with Dr. Yasmin Carter, a translational female anatomy expert, alongside researchers from Newcastle University to see how their upcoming leggings and trousers could be best-suited to women.
“I’ve never seen anyone do that before — come back to the very foundation and say, ‘what if everything we thought was wrong, and how do we get back to listening to the people who are actually living in these bodies?’” says Carter.
Both the trousers and leggings – which are available on the Berghaus site now – are available in a range of colourways, with sizing between small and extra large.
