The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Danner has introduced a new model to its line-up of hiking boots – the Trail Trainer Mid.

As the name suggests, the Trail Trainer Mid aims to bring together the lightweight comfort of a more lifestyle shoe with the rugged dependability of a traditional hiking boot.

A variety of colourways is there to choose from

Available in both men’s and women’s fits, the new Trail Trainer Mid gets a Danner Dry waterproof liner alongside a suede-textile upper to help keep feet as dry as possible.

Underneath, you’ll find a Resurge EVA midsole with an OrthoLite footbed to promote all-day comfort and plenty of shock absorption no matter where you’re heading. There’s also a Danner Strobilus outsole with multi-directional lugs for improved traction in difficult conditions.

Priced at £180, the Trail Trainer Mid is available in a variety of colourways, ranging from Pinecone Brown to desert-inspired ‘Coyote’. Danner says that this boot’s DT6 last has inspiration drawn from trail running, which is why it has a slightly wider forefoot to help improve stability.

Danner also says that the Trailer Trainer Mid comes in at 37 oz, or around 1,020g for the pair, with a non-insulated design helping to keep that weight down. Sadly, and unlike many boots in the Danner range, the Trailer Trainer Mid cannot be resoled by the Oregon-based firm, so you’ll need to keep an eye on wear.

The new Danner Trailer Trainer Mid is available to order via the brand’s website now.
