The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Wahoo has expanded its range of cycling computers with the new Elemnt Ace.

Aiming to bring a more smartphone-like user experience, the new Elemnt Ace incorporates a 3.8-inch TFT screen to ensure that you can clearly read all key information and navigation guidance, while a 30-hour battery life should mean that it can accompany you on even the longest of two-wheeled adventures. Wahoo says that the screen has been kitted out with anti-glare and anti-reflective properties to allow easy viewing even in brighter conditions.

The screen itself should also prove responsive even when you’re wearing non-touch-enabled gloves – or when you’re riding in the rain – so that you’re never left without it. There are a few physical controls to make navigating the screen a little easier, too, and it’s all tied together with a aluminium mount and tether system.

A new feature is the integrated wind sensor which is capable of measuring the effects of air resistance in real-time and post-ride, relaying to the user just how much of an effect both wind and drafting were having on a ride. Wahoo says that this feature is a category first and can be used alongside the brand’s app to make reading data even easier.

Gareth Joyce, CEO of Wahoo said “We are thrilled to be launching this next generation of cycling computers and to be setting the standard in what consumers expect. The expectations and demands of our customers have changed dramatically since our first bike computer launched back in 2015. Our rider-centric approach to the development of the ELEMNT ACE ensures that it’s a cycling computer that stands up to the expectations of the modern cyclist. This is a huge development and a step forward for the bike computer category.”

The new Wahoo Elemnt Ace is available now priced at £549.
