The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Vans has collaborated with Slam Jam once again for a new series made in partnership with Los Angeles-based brand FUCT.

It’s not the first time that Vans and Italian firm Slam Jam have teamed up, having created a special collection of items back in 2022 with British artist Fergus ‘Fergadelic’ Purcell putting a unique twist on the brand’s Sk8-Hi.

Now, it’s the turn of LA brand Friends U Can’t Trust – or FUCT, for short – to put a different spin on some Vans classics. Based in 1990 by artist Erik Brunetti, FUCT is known for its anti-establishment take, which is just what you’ll find in this new collection.

The five-piece collection is centred around the LX Old Skool Reissue 36 and LX Authentic Reissue 44, which both get Vans’ premium build laced throughout. As well as FUCT’s trademark touches you’ll find Slam Jam and Vans’ signature branding, encapsulated by a co-branded footbed.

Alongside this, you’ll find crystal outsoles, Slam Jam’s ‘Chao is Order’ statement foxing print and an internal woven label featuring the phrase ‘Steal this Shoe’.

Striking colourways bring sharp contrasts and an eye-catching look overall, backed with Vans’ typically rugged construction. It’ll mean that these statement pieces could still hack it over your favourite kicker should they need to.

Though full details about these statement shoes are still hidden, it’s expected that they’ll be fully released on September 13 via the FUCT website – so stay tuned. Expect to pay a premium over the standard shoe, that’s for sure.
