Canyon has added two new helmets to its CFR range with the new Disruptr and Stingr.
Canyon’s CFR range – which stands for Canyon Factory Racing – is where you’ll find the German firm’s sharpest and lightest products, utilising all of the latest technology that is to hand. These bits of kit are also developed in collaboration with professional riders, shaping them into even more focused equipment.

Stan Mavis, global director of gear at Canyon, said: “Your helmet can play a major role in aerodynamics, it’s one of the first things to hit the air when you’re riding. Whilst the helmet form has seen shape changes over the years, the design of the helmet strap hasn’t seen any real innovation for over 100 years.
“That’s why we decided to collaborate with world-leading experts to create a line of helmets that would set a totally new standard for helmet performance, completing the Canyon offer from head to toe.”

Entering into the gravel and road spheres respectively, the Disruptr and Stinger feature a clever new fitment system which helps with ease of use but also boosts aerodynamic efficiency as well. Canyon says that during wind tunnel testing, the new HighBar strap system saves seven watts at 50kph (31mph) or up between 10 and 20 watts when you’re travelling at 60 to 70kph (37-43mph). Canyon says that the helmets generate less wind noise, too.
It’s the first time that the HighBar strap system has been featured on a Canyon helmet, too, with its ratchet dial there to make small adjustments mid-ride a breeze.
Both helmets sit at £289.95 and can be purchased via Canyon’s website.
