The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Peak Performance has bolstered its range of outdoor-focused clothing with two new drops.

Things kick off with the Trail Hipe shell jacket, which gets a suitably clean aesthetic to tie in with the rest of Peak Performance’s clothing. Finished in 2.5-layer fabric, it’s a waterproof jacket with a high neckline to keep the breeze at bay, while an elasticated hood ensures you get a secure fit every time and has enough space for most helmets, too.

Priced at £230, the Trail Hipe jacket is designed for a variety of outdoor pursuits including hiking and biking, while the front pockets integrate ventilation areas for some extra breathability. It’s available in one of four colours, too, with the ‘spiced and salute blue’ colourway being a particularly stand-out choice.

Joining the jacket are the Light Scale SS pants – priced at £160. Designed for ‘entry-level mountaineering’ these lightweight trousers are made from a durable softshell fabric with some extra stretch to allow plenty of movement. Extra features include a zip leg pocket for some additional storage and you’ll find that the whole thing is treated in a PFC-free water-repellent finish to help keep your legs dry.

Peak Performance has also hinted that these two pieces will soon be joined by a Polartec fleece which will incorporate a relaxed fit alongside a clever grid pattern that’ll allow the fabric to wick away moisture and boost air circulation.

You’ll find the Trail Hipe jacket and Light Scale SS pants both available on the Peak Performance website, while the fleece is expected to hit the range shortly.
