The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Finisterre and backpack specialists Gregory have partnered up over two new hiking backpacks.

Gregory, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, specialises in ‘the most comfortable and reliable packs in the world’ and has used two of its most popular backpacks – the Stout and Amber – as a base for this collaboration.

British brand Finisterre – known for its stripped-back aesthetic – has put its own spin on the backpacks while ensuring that they meet its durability standards through the use of high-grade 420D nylon.

Comfort has also been placed high on the list of priorities for these new backpacks, too, which is why you’ll find customisable torso lengths, adjustable wraparound ‘fit tune’ hip belts and a perforated 3D foam back for added breathability. There’s even a shoulder harness with a die-cut air mesh for a more assured fit.

The packs have also been given a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish to help keep the interior dry, and that coating is free from PFCs, too.

Todd, head of design at Finisterre, said: “The idea for a more purpose-built pack came when we were hiking in Scotland,

“If we wanted to make the product I had in my mind, we’d need to work with a brand that is not only the very best but also aligns with our values and has a solid stance on environmentalism. Gregory is that brand.”

Priced from £175, the Stout is available in 44- and 55-litre capacities, while the Amber comes in 44- and 54-litre sizes. All versions will be available from July 23 via the Gregory website or in one of Finisterre’s physical locations.
