We’ve seen pizza ovens absolutely skyrocket in popularity recently, with the likes of Ooni and Gozney transforming the way we’re able to cook our own slice in the back garden. 

Well now, Ninja – famous for its range of blenders and air fryers – is getting in on the action with its Woodfire Electric Outdoor Oven. Revealed at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, it’s jam-packed with features

It’s actually a pizza oven, barbecue and smoker all combined into one machine and it comes following the much-acclaimed Woodfire Electric BBQ Grill and Smoker. However, you won’t find any wood chips or gas bottles attached to this model as it’s powered entirely by electric. 

It has the domed appearance of a traditional wood-fired pizza oven, but it uses concentrated electrical heat to cook a pizza in just two and a half minutes. Ninja says you won’t even have to turn it, either. But as well as your favourite pie, it’ll also do low-and-slow barbecuing for meats like brisket and ribs, with an integrated smoker box helping to deliver that wood-fired taste. The wood pellets in this basket are for flavour only, however, and don’t fuel the machine in any way. 

It’s expected that this new oven will be launched later in the year. The regular Woodfire Electric BBQ Grill and Smoker costs £249.99 via Ninja’s website at the moment, so expect a slight premium over that for this even more feature-heavy version.
