The very best adventure gear taken to the most amazing of places

Gore-Tex is piloting a new service that will allow wearers of its equipment to get direct access to repairs.

Built in collaboration with United Repair Centre (UTC) – a circular economy specialist – the service will allow Gore-Tex owners to get all manner of items fixed, from velcro strips to tears in the fabric.

All wearers need to do is access the online portal and submit more information about the product and the repair required before receiving a cost estimate based on the details. Once agreed, the repair is booked in and the wearer sends their item. After it’s received, the item is evaluated and the repairs are completed within five days with an email notification sent to the owner when the product is ready to be returned to them.

Paul Kerssens, COO and Co-Founder, URC, said: “As an authorised GORE-TEX Repair Provider, we have the quality mark for outdoor repairs. Now, with our partnership expanding into digital technology and customer experience, we’re not just fixing gear, we’re transforming the industry.”

The Gore-Tex Repair Service joins a number of other offerings from the brand designed to help wearers prolong the life of their gear, including the Guaranteed to Keep You Dry Promise, which was introduced in 1989 and marked the first time that a manufacturer had made such a commitment.

The new Gore-Tex Repair Service is now live and ready to access.
