We’ve now entered autumn proper and that means it’s going to start getting chilly. We absolutely love a fleece jacket here at TGS, because they have that cosy feeling which helps to keep the cold away while also looking pretty great as well.
The 90s revival that is currently washing over the globe means that fleeces are now bang back in fashion, with many of them featuring some pretty throwback designs. But while some of them can be quite punchy on price, we’ve picked out some of the best fleeces for under £100.
Passenger Offgrid Sherpa Fleece – £74.95

Uber-cool brand Passenger has a load of eye-catching fleeces, but it’s the Offgrid Sherpa that really caught our eye. It’s 100 per cent recycled, too, so it’s got the green boxes ticked but it’s great in all the ‘classic’ fleece areas too, namely a heavyweight construction that’ll keep the cold at bay.
We like that it’s got zipped hand pockets, too, as well as soft elastane bindings on the cuffs and hems to keep a secure fit.
The North Face Glacier Zip-In Fleece – £85

Beloved by streetwear enthusiasts just as much as hardened explorers, The North Face has some of the most sought-after pieces around. But the Glacier Zip-In is a fleece which doesn’t break the bank but still has loads of those features that attract people to The North Face.
It’s a full-zip fleece – rather than a quarter-zip – which means it’s slightly easier to take off and out on. More on the lightweight side of things, this could be a great option as a mid-layer for really chilly days. There are three great colours to choose from too – we really like the green.
Columbia Helvetia – £70

Want to dial right into that retro look? Step up, the Columbia Helvetia. With its zany pattern, it’s one that’ll really stand out but, thankfully, it’s got some cool features to help back up its eye-catching design.
This is one of the best fleeces for under £100 with a half-snap design which means you can let a little bit of air in should things get too warm, while a handy chest pocket is a great place to store loose valuables. You’ve got two hand pockets as well.
H&M Teddy Sports Jacket – £37.99

You don’t need to steer away from high street brands if you’re after a decent fleece. The Teddy jacket from H&M is great if you’re on a budget, as it comes in a little under £40 which is remarkable value. It’s got a handy raised collar, too, which is really useful to raise up underneath an outer jacket to help keep the wind out.
There’s a zipped chest pocket and extra hand warmer pockets, too. Plus, we like the contrast elbow sections and it’s available in two colours as well.
Jack Wolfskin Pank Hudson Snap M – currently £75

Okay, so the Pank Hudson Snap M from Jack Wolfskin isn’t a fleece for the shy and retiring types but if you’re after a jacket which really doubles down on that retro flavour, this is the one for you. With its all-over print, it’s definitely one of the ‘loudest’ jackets on this list.
It’s a relaxed-fit fleece as well, with contrasting chest pockets on both sides. It’s a shame that there aren’t any hand-warming pockets lower down, mind you. The raised collar will help protect against draughts, too.
